JOB OVERVIEW
This is a multi-craft construction position involving both rebar installation and concrete finishing work. Candidates must have hands-on field experience in commercial or industrial environments and be capable of working in fast-paced, physically demanding job sites.
Work includes structural concrete, slab pours, rebar tying, form setting, and finishing operations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, tie, cut, and place rebar (rodbusting) per blueprint specifications
- Assist with concrete pours, slab work, and structural placement
- Perform concrete finishing (screeding, smoothing, leveling, patching, and repair)
- Set and align forms for concrete structures
- Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
- Support multi-craft crew operations on active job sites
- Perform rebar tying and prep work when concrete pours are not scheduled
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and jobsite procedures
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3+ years experience REQUIRED in:
- Concrete finishing (flatwork, slabs, commercial/industrial projects)
- Rebar installation and tying (rodbusting / ironwork)
- Ability to read blueprints, rebar drawings, and layout plans
- Experience on commercial or industrial construction sites strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of formwork, reinforcement steel, and concrete placement
- Must be able to work in outdoor environments and physically demanding conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid U.S. ID, Driver’s License, or DHS Work Authorization
- Must be able to pass background check
- Must be able to pass drug screening (hair follicle may be required)
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be willing to travel to job sites if needed
