Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Construction Superintendent located in Los Angeles, CA. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for managing construction sites, ensuring safety regulations, organizing and budgeting projects, and overseeing project management.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.

Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to establish project schedules, coordinate resources, and monitor progress.

Supervise and mentor a team of site supervisors, foremen, and other construction personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress, identify and address any issues or obstacles, and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

Review and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation on-site.

Coordinate and manage subcontractors and suppliers, including monitoring their performance, resolving conflicts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Implement and enforce site safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings, and promoting a culture of safety among all on-site personnel.

Collaborate with project managers to manage project budgets, track project costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and site photographs.
Requirements

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, preferably in mid-sized or larger firms.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and building codes.

Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Proficiency in construction management software and tools.

Professional certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR) are a plus.
