Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and dining areas by following proper sanitation procedures
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and assisting with setting up dining spaces for service
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy supplies and moving kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, mixers, slicers, and dishwashers with proper technique and safety protocols
- Adhere to kitchen health and safety standards at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a strong understanding of food handling practices
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation, knife handling, and operating various kitchen appliances
- Knowledge of sanitation practices, including dishwashing techniques and food safety management systems
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service periods
- Familiarity with banquet or catering experience is a plus but not required
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards
- Strong teamwork ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn new skills
