Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Oregon Licensed Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with experience in industrial settings. The Electrician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and mechanical equipment while collaborating effectively with other members of the team.
Essential Duties:
- Ability to read schematics/diagrams, as well as follow electrical preventative maintenance programs
- Maintain and repair automated equipment, hydraulic equipment, compressors, PLC, pumps, etc.
- Troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical issues.
- Maintain lighting inside and outside of mill.
- Responsible for ensuring equipment is ready for production start-up.
- Responsible for repairs on worn out or damaged equipment.
- Perform needed equipment modification and fabrication.
- Assist production when needed.
- Follow all safety rules and practices.
- Perform work techniques, speeds, and efficiencies at company standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance procedures for equipment.
- Will lubricate equipment with thorough understanding of requirements for a variety of devices and applications.
- Perform all other work as required.
Qualifications:
- Qualified applicants MUST have at minimum a Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) license and be a journeyman electrician.
- 6+ months of manufacturing maintenance experience required
- 1+ year of maintenance experience required
- Must be able to read and comprehends basic blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Must be able to read and understand test meters
- Must possess basic understanding of maintenance of boilers, air compressors, and hydraulic systems
- Basic knowledge of basic math skills is required
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
