Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting milk from dairy farms to processing plants while ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, and the operation of specialized tanker trucks.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tanker truck to transport milk to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities and times.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and handling of dairy products.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding any issues or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a tanker endorsement is required.
- Proven experience in truck driving.
- Current NYS milk receivers license or be willing to obtain (we will cover the cost).
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles, and operating commercial vehicles in all weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
