About Ostbye
Ostbye is a 4th-generation family owned jewelry manufacturer and distributor, recently recognized as the 5th Best Performing Jewelry Brand by Retailer Jewelers in InStore Magazine (2025). We serve independent jewelers across the country and take pride in being a company where people genuinely enjoy showing up to work.
We’re growing fast and looking for people who want to grow with us. At Ostbye, you won’t get lost in the shuffle. Your work matters, your voice is heard, and your contribution to the team is visible from day one.
The Role
We’re building out our inventory function and need someone who can own it. You’ll be the engine behind our sales lines – keeping the inventory accurate, setting up new items when they launch, managing the inventory side of our trunk show program, and stepping in on invoicing when the team needs you.
This isn’t a “keep the spreadsheet updated” job. It’s a role for someone who sees the gaps before anyone else does, takes initiative without being asked, and gets satisfaction from knowing the system is clean, the data is right, and the team can rely on the information they’re working from.
You’ll report directly to our Integrator and work shoulder-to-shoulder with our Inventory Manager and the broader Finance and Merchandising teams. If you want visibility, ownership, and room to build something – this is it.
What you'll Do
Sales Line Management
- Own and maintain our active sales lines in our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) – additions, updates, discontinuations, and audits
- Keep item data accurate and current so our Sales and Customer Experience teams are always working from the right information
- Coordinate with the Inventory Manager and Merchandising team when lines change – and communicate those changes clearly across the organization
New Item Setup
- Set up new items in ERP when we introduce new products – item numbers, descriptions, attributes, pricing fields, all of it
- Work with the Inventory and Merchandising teams to gather what you need and catch errors before they cause problems downstream
Trunk Show Program
- Manage the inventory side of our trunk show program – track what goes out, make sure it comes back, reconcile when it does
- Keep ERP records accurate and flag discrepancies to the team before they become headaches
Invoicing Backup
- Step in as invoicing backup when the team needs coverage – process orders accurately and efficiently
What Success Looks Like
In your first 90 days, a successful Inventory Specialist at Ostbye:

- Has built a trusted relationship with the Inventory Manager and Merchandise Manager
- Has taken ownership of trunk show inventory tracking and made it more organized than it was
- Has flagged at least one process gap and suggested a fix
- Makes the team feel like they can rely on the data
