Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional with a passion for leadership, process improvement, and nonprofit accounting? We are seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee a high-volume AP function, lead a dedicated team, and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payments within a dynamic nonprofit organization.
This is a direct hire position, offering flexibility for experienced Accounts Payable professionals looking to make an impact within a dynamic nonprofit organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, expense reimbursements, and payment runs
- Supervise, coach, and develop AP team members, including performance management and workload distribution
- Review and approve AP batches, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, grant requirements, IRS regulations, and internal controls
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment discrepancies
- Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and insurance certificates
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate AP processes while maintaining operational efficiency
- Communicate payment priorities and cash flow needs with leadership and stakeholders

Job Requirements
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of accounts payable experience, including 2-4 years of supervisory experience
- Experience with accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting practices
- Proven ability to lead process improvements and manage change successfully
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Nonprofit experience required; grant compliance and fund accounting knowledge preferred
- Experience with Intacct is a plus
