Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting tobacco products, accessories, and related merchandise with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items, upselling where appropriate to enhance their experience
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays by organizing stock and ensuring shelves are well-stocked and tidy
- Stock shelves efficiently by receiving deliveries, verifying inventory, and managing inventory levels through proper merchandising techniques
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about products, store policies, and promotions with clear communication skills
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information or directing calls appropriately to ensure excellent phone etiquette
Qualifications
- Retail or smoke shop experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
- No experience with POS (cash register) systems? That’s okay—we’ll teach you.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and making change.
- Ability to speak and understand English. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
- Reliable, honest, and able to work well with customers and coworkers.
- Comfortable standing for long periods, stocking shelves, and lifting moderate boxes when needed.
- Willingness to learn about our products, store procedures, and customer service. Training will be provided.
- Must be able to follow all tobacco and vape age-verification laws and company policies.
