At Mikee's Place, you will prepare a variety of hot sandwiches and coldcuts, while providing excellent customer service. We hold customer service in high importance and are always ready and willing to cater to customer's needs and special requests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the shop.
- Educate new customers on our menu and sandwich sizes.
- Working in a kitchen, utilizing a stovetop for certain hot sandwiches
- Handle cashier duties and take phone and DoorDash orders, writing tickets down.
- Restocking inventory as needed throughout the day.
- Complete opening, daily, and closing procedures.
- Maintain a clean workspace behind the bar, in the kitchen, and in the lobby always. (one hand is cooking, the other hand is cleaning).
- Maintain a positive work environment, free of negative commentary, ensuring a fun and drama-free workplace.
- Support catering orders that come in.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
- Foster a positive work environment with fellow employees, customers, and owners.
- Communicate any issues to the manager.
- Provide customer feedback to managers and suggest new menu items.
- Recognize and work around your strengths and weaknesses, and collaborate effectively with your teammates.
- Be adaptable to changes in systems and processes.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Arrive on time for all shifts.
Work Attire:
- Present yourself professionally as first impressions are crucial.
- No ripped jeans, crop tops, or graphic tees with political views or profanity.
- Wear closed-toe shoes; no sandals or slides unless they cover the toes.
