General Position Overview: The Project Manager Position is responsible for assisting outside sales and operations staff with the full span of project activities. Project Manager duties include estimation, project management, and billing of both large projects and day-to-day requests related to industrial and municipal applications. The position includes interfacing with sales, engineering and design, fabrication and electrical teams as well as inter-office personnel such as accounting and shipping & receiving. The prospective candidate will hold primary responsibility for start-to-finish pump station builds and should be comfortable with seeing a project through inception and design all the way to shipment. In addition, the Project Manager is responsible for P&IDs and project proposals to assist in the design of liquid handling skid systems, including creating and/or reviewing 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks. Responsibilities include supporting layouts and components such as pumps, motors, piping, structural frames, and related system equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Position will report directly to Operations Manager
- Create equipment submittal packages based on project proposals.
- Work with the operations team to manage project schedules.
- Project-specific parts procurement and shipment follow-up
- Ownership of large projects from design and estimation through installation, startup, and subsequent billing.
- Project planning, including scope definition, objectives, timelines, and resources.
- Work with the sales department to properly design a pump package for a proposed project.
- Draw, update, and maintain designs
- Reviews detailed equipment designs as compared to P&IDs and other design documents.
- Interact with the Fab Shop team to develop technical concepts, design constraints, materials of construction, manufacturing methods and codes applicable
- Reviews and understands project requirements (specifications, standards, etc.) to assist in designing the system.
- Develop detailed project schedules, track progress, and adjust plans as needed to meet milestones.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to align project goals.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Track project progress and provide updates on timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, status reports, meeting notes, and action items.
- Collaborate with the invoicing team to meet monthly financial goals.
Education and Experience:
- Prior experience in a mechanical or electrical technical discipline required.
- Knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems required.
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering is preferred.
- Experience in the water/wastewater market is a plus.
- Experience and knowledge of 3D design and Drafting required. (SolidWorks preferred)
- Previous fluid system design experience is a plus.
- Must be familiar with and understand project specifications, engineered drawings, and takeoffs.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
