American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Outpatient Urology Clinic position in New Haven, CT, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a 4x10 day shift schedule.

Outpatient urology clinic setting supporting provider office visits, outpatient procedures, and nursing visits

Nursing visit duties include bladder chemo instillations, catheter changes, and rectal swabs
-
Phone triage responsibilities included as part of the role

Each surgeon is typically assigned one nurse; APPs are covered at 0.5 nurse ratio; each procedure has one dedicated nurse

Floating within scope required to meet facility needs

Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

No weekend requirements

Charting system: Epic

Parking available at $125/month

Active CT or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted, but must be active prior to start)

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Trauma center experience at a large facility required

BLS certification required
-
Flu vaccination required — declinations are not accepted

1 professional reference required for consideration

Candidates must not have any priors on their nursing license

Nurse will be trained to support a specific group of provider clinics as well as nursing visits

Responsibilities include prior authorizations, prescription refills, chart preparation, and phone triage

This is a large Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center with 1,000+ beds
-
COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted

Royal blue scrubs required

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible

RTO exceeding 7 days requires facility approval
