MRI / CT Contrast Patient Observation.
Description: Outpatient Radiology Facility, California Medical Imaging, Madera MRI - seeking a qualified RN or PA to observe patients post-contrast media administration. Some (typically less than 1/500) patients experience adverse effects, such as an allergic reaction to contrast media. During such time, an experienced provider is required to recognize and act accordingly to evaluate and assist the patient.
The following credentials are acceptable RN / PA / NP.

Core Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct ongoing assessments of patients with acute, non-emergent medical needs or those recovering from minor interventions.
- Vitals & Telemetry Monitoring: Track vital signs, ECGs, and cardiac telemetry to identify sudden shifts in patient status.
- Medication Administration: Safely dispense medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
- Disposition Coordination: Collaborate with case managers and physicians to establish a clear care plan and determine if a patient should be discharged or admitted as an inpatient.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on post-discharge instructions, medications, and follow-up care
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
