SUMMARY: The Quality Control Technician conducts lab tests to ensure that all outgoing product meets specifications. This involves performing screen analysis and other lab tests while recording test results properly. Screen Testing guides the milling operation throughout the day with timely production screen analysis. This position is also responsible for logging incoming molten shipments, preparing Bills of Lading with other shipping documents and performing clerical duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Analyze all samples delivered to the Lab. a) Keep up-to-date on all analysis procedures. b) Maintain a sufficient supply of Lab and office supplies.
2. Prepare Certificates of Analysis.
3. Update Specification Manual, Manufacturing Manual, Lab Procedures Manual and any other books as assigned by Plant Manager.
4. Prepare Bills of Lading, Shipment Release Sheets and related paperwork for Shipping and
Receiving.
5. Process production analysis in a timely manner and inform Mill Operator of any needed adjustments.
6. Complete daily and monthly reports in a timely manner.
7. Provide for clerical needs of the Plant.
8. Maintain a neat, safe, and orderly work area.
9. Act as Primary Contact for the Customer Service Representative located in the Corporate Office.
AUTHORITY
The Quality Control Technician has the authority to carry out all responsibilities assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS
Reports directly to the Plant Manager.
