48 hours: $3300 gross= $39.37/hr, $59.06/OT & $1,253 per diem.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for day shifts to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive patient care to individuals requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, excellent assessment skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data to detect arrhythmias or other cardiac events promptly
- Administer medications, including Botulinum toxin treatments when applicable, following prescribed protocols
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic and Cerner
- Assist with procedures such as IV insertions, suturing, catheterizations, and tube feedings
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication administration, and post-discharge care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards and trauma center protocols
- Support triage activities in emergency or urgent care settings when needed
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice
- Minimum of two years of critical care experience, including ICU or telemetry nursing
- Experience working in hospital settings with Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to cardiac care
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding, ICD-9 coding (if applicable), and laboratory/diagnostic evaluation procedures
- Experience in acute pain management, infectious disease care, and medication administration techniques
- Ability to perform aseptic techniques and sterile processing procedures accurately
- Excellent assessment skills for patient care planning and case management
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law related to occupational health cases is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs
- Strong communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
