RN Nurse Supervisor-Home Health

Job Overview
Provides direct supervision of clinical staff, including:
Oversees and supervises daily management of patient care and staff caseloads.
Ensures adequate nursing staff during the week and on weekends and holidays.
Participates in the recruitment, selection and orientation of new clinical staff.
Assesses the performance of staff on a regular and annual basis.
Oversees accuracy of clinical documentation of staff for compliance with regulations and appropriateness of care.
Conducts case conferences with staff.
Acts as a resource person in the field and office for staff.
Adheres to the agency’s policies, procedures, objectives and standards of care.
Assists in interpreting agency policies to staff.
Participates in the development of the agency’s staff development program.
Participates in the agency's quality improvement program.
Acts as a liaison with referral sources and third party payers as needed.
Requirements
Supervisor position requires Clinical nursing experience and Behavioral health/Psychiatric nursing experience.
BSN with 5 years experience including 3 years in Home care OR Masters and 3 years experience in Home care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of Home Health regulations.
Leadership and organizational skills.
