- Makes clinical determination of mental status, suicidality, homicidality, or self-neglect of persons who present to the CRF or RC

Responsible for screening, assessment, and discharge planning for persons receiving services at the CRF or RC

Conducts individual and/or family sessions as well as leading group therapeutic activities for adults and children receiving inpatient services

Obtains collateral information from persons who are familiar with the client in order to assess the level of risk
-
Refers to licensed provider for involuntary assessment as needed.

Assists patients with setting up outpatient appointments or with referrals to external community resources

Assists with completion of emergency screenings for services as needed
-
Provides information regarding mental health and substance use diagnosis and treatments

Provides crisis de-escalation assistance to individuals in inpatient services

Performs transfer evaluations per Baker Act law as needed

Completes up-to-date documentation in accordance with the internal and external audit standards.

- Bachelor’s (BA/BS) or Master’s (MA/MS) degree in Human Services or a related field required
- Compensation will be commensurate with degree level (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and aligned with the applicable pay grade
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with individuals in a behavioral health setting required
- Experience working with individuals in crisis and/or with substance use disorders preferred
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct in accordance with agency policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively manage stressful situations while maintaining appropriate professional demeanor and boundaries
- Strong customer service skills with a commitment to positive patient and client interactions
- Proficiency in basic computer use and ability to learn and navigate an electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Must be able to pass Level II background screening and drug test (CBHC is a drug-free workplace)
