About the Shop
Poirier's Service Center is an established full-service auto repair shop in Pompano Beach, under new ownership and investing heavily in our team, tools, and capabilities. We handle everything from daily drivers to high-end and exotic vehicles, and we're building a shop where a top diagnostic technician has the equipment, the workflow, and the pay structure to do the best work of their career.
We're looking for a true A-level technician — someone who can diagnose and fix anything that rolls through the door. If you're the tech other techs bring their hard cars to, we want to talk to you.
Who We're Looking For
This is not an entry-level seat. We're hiring an experienced diagnostician who can:
- Diagnose complex drivability, electrical, and network/communication faults — the problems that stump parts-replacers
- Read wiring diagrams, perform pinpoint electrical testing, and use a scan tool / scope to find root cause, not guess
- Handle engine, transmission, hydraulic, HVAC, and advanced electronic systems
- Work confidently on a wide range of makes — domestic, import, and high-line/European/exotic a strong plus
- Perform ADAS-related work and manufacturer-specific diagnostics
- Quote jobs accurately and stand behind the work — minimal comebacks
- Mentor and set the technical bar for the rest of the shop
What You Bring
- Several years of real diagnostic experience (dealer or independent — dealer-trained on European/luxury lines is a major plus)
- ASE certifications (Master and/or L1 Advanced Engine Performance strongly preferred)
- Your own tools (we supply specialty tooling, scan equipment, and shop diagnostic platforms)
- Valid driver's license
- The judgment and integrity to do it right the first time

On top of that, you earn flat-rate production on the work you turn. The book hours you bill drive your pay, and your per-hour rate steps up as you produce more — so an efficient, skilled tech who turns a high volume of book hours earns a higher rate on every one of them. You're rewarded twice: for the hours you produce and for being good enough to produce them efficiently.
What that means in real numbers: an experienced diagnostic technician in this role earns $70,000–$95,000+ per year, and the strongest producers — especially those who can handle high-line and exotic work — push past that. As the shop grows and the high-end work grows with it, so does your check. No annual raise negotiation: you give yourself the raise every time you produce.
