About This Position:
You will oversee kitchen in a multi-unit facility where there are multiple kitchens located on a single location or campus. Manage team members involved in supervising inmate trustees preparing, serving and the clean-up of food service areas.
You will work onsite inside a jail/correctional facility. You will report to the Food Service Director.
Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

Oversee food service workers, which may include inmate labor, in the daily preparation of meals for assigned unit.

Conduct daily open and close inspections of all areas within assigned unit.

Perform weekly inventory and replenish stock by completing order requirements.

Train all new food service workers on standard operating procedures and company policies

Schedule workers to insure performance of unit food service production.

Complete ordering and all required reports. Ensure that food items are stored properly.

Manage food service operation in compliance with internal procedures as required by local, state and federal laws and regulations.

Maintain all serving schedules, serve all food items per menu specifications in a safe and appropriate manner according to departmental guidelines.

Maintain a sanitary environment following food service and Health Department codes and regulations.

Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Minimum 2 years food service experience.

Experience in the use and operation of a variety of kitchen equipment.

Experience in high-volume food preparation, operations and service.

Experience with safety procedures as applied to food preparation and cooking.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.
