Job Description:
We are currently looking for skilled Machine Technicians with the strong technical skills needed to set up, operate, troubleshoot and maintain CNC woodworking equipment.
This role is responsible for ensuring machines run efficiently, safely, and produce high- quality components according to specifications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with CNC machinery, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a machine technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining complex automated wood processing equipment in order to produce high- quality closet and kitchen cabinet components.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC woodworking machines (e.g., edge banders, nested-based CNCs, panel saws, & machining centers)
- Load programs, set tooling, and adjust machine parameters as needed
- Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues to minimize downtime
- Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications
- Read and interpret shop drawings, CAD/CAM files, and work orders
- Change tools, calibrate machines, and verify proper machine alignment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Communicate issues, improvements, and maintenance needs to supervisors and team members
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred)
- 2+ years of experience operating or maintaining CNC woodworking equipment
- Strong understanding of CNC controls, tooling, and machine setup
- Ability to read technical drawings and measuring instruments
- Good mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic woodworking skills.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Strong knowledge of safety, quality, productivity and manufacturing processes
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with CNC programming software is a plus
- Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specific CNC brands (e.g., Homag, Biesse, SCM, Shelling, Weeke)
- Experience in cabinet, furniture, or architectural millwork manufacturing
- Electrical or PLC troubleshooting experienceWork Environment & Schedule

- Standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive motion required
- Full-time position: overtime as needed
Pay: $24.65 - $29.00 per hour
