As a Weekend AM Server, you will be responsible for ensuring guests feel welcomed, attended to promptly, and leave with a positive impression of our establishment. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing OpenTable or similar reservation and ordering platforms.
- Serve food and beverages—including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks—while maintaining high standards of presentation and service.
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling additional menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in service areas.
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting stations, and supporting kitchen staff when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide exceptional guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions about menu items such as wine knowledge or cocktail ingredients, and accommodating special requests.
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred, especially within fine dining or hospitality environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous for efficient order processing.
- Experience with beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation enhances your ability to upsell and elevate guest experiences.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables simultaneously during busy weekend mornings.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales transactions.
- Previous host/hostess or bussing experience is beneficial for understanding guest flow and supporting team efforts.
