Job Title: Surgery Center Registered Nurse (RN)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday -Thursday 8 am - 5 pm; Friday 8 am - 1 pm
Reports To: ASC Clinical Director
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgery center team, supporting two urologists. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality patient care and seamless surgical procedures. The RN will assist the provider with all aspects of patient care including, but not limited to, time of service patient triage, results follow up, and patient communication. The ideal candidate will have a background in perioperative nursing and a strong commitment to patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including assessment, preparation, and discharge.
- Monitor patients during surgical procedures to ensure safety and adherence to protocols.
- Collaborate with the surgical team, including anesthesiologists, surgical technicians, and the urologists, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and provide post-surgical care instructions to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient status and treatment provided.
- Ensure compliance with all infection control and safety standards within the surgery center.
- Assist with the setup, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical equipment and instruments.
Qualifications:
- Required License: Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of Georgia.
- Required Certification(s): BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant experience required; surgical or urology experience preferred.
- Experience working with Allscripts PM and EHR preferred.
- Familiarity with Providerflow or similar fax management systems is a plus.

- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and adapt to patient needs.
- Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
Work Environment:
- Standard office and clinical (surgical) environment.
- Must be able to be active and mobile for an eight-hour period.
- Must have the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds and transfer/transport patients.
