American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for a night-shift ICU position requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry competency.
-
Level III Trauma Center, 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU
-
Cares for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
-
Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day
-
RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg units

Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units

Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30), does not rotate
-
Works EOW (every other weekend), 36 or 48 hours

EPIC EMR used for charting
-
Active MA RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)

AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
2+ years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably MICU
-
Must be able to read telemetry strips

Telemetry competency required

Provide direct patient care within a high-acuity ICU environment as part of a physician-supported care team

Flu vaccine required during flu season, no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Free on-site parking available

Local candidates accepted if residing within 60 miles of Boston, at a reduced rate
