Senior Electrical Engineer
QA Engineering is a mechanical, electrical, civil, energy, commissioning and lighting engineering design and construction firm currently looking for and Electrical Engineer.
Candidate must have a State of New Mexico P.E. or be within a year of obtaining a P.E. Applicant must be able to demonstrate an established career in residential, commercial and industrial design specific to Design and Construction documentation with familiarity of Design/Build projects. Duties will include performing all electrical engineering tasks for projects, designing, specification writing, as-builting, drafting, performing calculations, job walks, estimating costs and reviewing with clients.
Education:
* BS degree in Electrical Engineering
* P.E. in the State of New Mexico
Requirements:
* 10+ years of experience in hands-on electrical systems engineering design including production construction documents demonstrating ability to complete electrical systems analysis, design and report writing.
* Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, Microstation, Excel, and MS Word
* Must have familiarity with construction , Design/Build and Commission processes..
* Must possess the ability to do site visits to assess all electrical equipment and controls.
* Some travel may be required.
* Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
Responsibilities
* Able to lead the electrical design on a multi-discipline project.
* Must be able to create and assemble a complete set of electrical construction documents.
* Review and audit construction specifications in Master Spec and SpecsIntact.
* Assist in mentoring the design activities of junior engineers and designers to verify that quality controls and project criteria are met and within budget.
* Delegate these activities and mentor less experienced staff.
