Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including shift management, staffing, and customer service delivery
- Supervise and train staff on food preparation, food handling, POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, and customer service protocols
- Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and balancing registers at shift end
- Support kitchen management by supervising food production, ensuring quality standards are maintained during busy hours
- Lead staff training initiatives focused on food safety, hospitality standards, and operational efficiency
- Assist in budgeting activities, cost control measures, and maintaining overall restaurant profitability
- Ensure a welcoming environment for guests by resolving complaints promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with management on marketing efforts, catering events, banquet services, or special promotions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management, training & development skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and hygiene standards
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, cash handling, and cost management strategies
- Previous hospitality or hotel experience is a plus; culinary or catering background is advantageous
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive team environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
