Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Custom Home Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of high-end residential construction projects. Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight:
- Lead the entire project lifecycle from initial design review through construction completion, ensuring adherence to schematics, blueprints, and contract specifications.
- Plan, schedule, and manage all phases of construction projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Monitor and control project budgets, timelines, and resources.
- Utilize construction management software such as JobTread and other industry tools for project scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
Client Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the construction process.
- Conduct site visits with clients at key stages of construction to review progress and address questions.
- Provide regular updates and address client concerns promptly.
- Daily logs and weekly progress updates.
Trade and Supplier Coordination:
- Schedule and manage trades and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of work.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate seamless communication and project flow.
- Create accurate Purchase Orders for each trade working on the job.
- Order construction materials accurately and on time to avoid delays.
- Ensure finishes like light fixtures and plumbing fixtures are ordered and delivered on schedule.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation through logs, purchase orders, change orders, and progress reports.
- Use project management tools (JobTread) to track schedules and budgets.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Conduct regular site visits daily to ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
- Address any variances or issues proactively to minimize delays or cost overruns.
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):
- Projects delivered on time and within budget.
- Client satisfaction.
- Reduction in unplanned purchases and contingencies.
- Accurate and timely reporting of project progress.

Reporting Structure:
The Project Manager will report directly to the Construction Manager and will work closely with the Estimator to ensure budgets and timelines are aligned.
Experience
- Proven experience managing custom home construction projects or similar residential developments with a strong background in construction management.
- Extensive knowledge of construction site operations and blueprint reading.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software along with project management tools like JobTread and other relevant platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple teams effectively while maintaining strict schedules through project scheduling expertise.
- Hands-on construction site experience coupled with strong project coordination skills to troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Excellent time management skills combined with a detail-oriented approach to ensure all project milestones are achieved efficiently.
