Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Cake & Dessert Chef to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a dessert-focused professional with strong technical skills in cakes, creams, mousse, and modern finishing techniques.
Responsibilities
- Produce cakes, desserts, and mousse-based items with a focus on precision, consistency, and clean execution
- Execute chocolate decoration and contemporary finishing techniques
- Apply mirror glazes and spray finishes to achieve refined, professional results
- Work with various cake molds and structured dessert builds
- Prepare and apply cream-based components (including diplomat-style and party-style creams) with proper technical control
- Prepare mousse components with correct aeration, texture, and stability
- Maintain high standards of flavor balance, structure, and visual presentation
- Keep a clean, organized, and food-safe production environment
- Assist in training new team members on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, equipment, and storage spaces
Qualifications
- Strong background in cake and dessert production
- Hands-on experience with chocolate work, glaze, and spray applications
- Comfortable working with molds and layered dessert formats
- Solid technical foundation in modern pastry techniques, with attention to structure, consistency, and finish
- Detail-oriented with a refined aesthetic and craftsmanship mindset
- Reliable, organized, and able to work well in a small team
- Knowledge of inventory management and control processes for bakery ingredients and supplies
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
