We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate RNFA's to join our Operating Room Team in Rochester, NY. Opportunities are available in both Robotic Surgery and Cardiac Surgery, supporting complex procedures in a high-acuity environment.
Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) – Main Operating Room (Da Vinci Robotics)
The ideal candidate will have extensive Da Vinci robotic surgery experience and a strong perioperative nursing background.
Pay: $90/hr (36-to-48-hour work week)
Schedule
- 36 or 48 hours per week offered
- Monday–Friday, day shifts
- Evening call required (up to 11:00 PM)
- No weekends; rotating holiday call as needed
Requirements
- Active New York State RN License
- Completion of an accredited RNFA program
- Current CNOR Certification (required)
- BLS (AHA required)
- ACLS (AHA preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience; Level I Trauma experience preferred
Required Da Vinci Robotic Experience
- Urology
- Gynecology
- Colorectal Surgery
- Surgical Oncology (Whipples, Gastrectomies, Hernias, etc.)
- Thoracic Surgery
- General Surgery (Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Serve in a combined RNFA, circulating, and scrub role
- Collaborate with surgeons and the perioperative team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Assist during robotic surgical procedures and support optimal surgical outcomes

Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) – Cardiac Operating Room
The ideal candidate will have strong first-assist experience in cardiac surgery and be comfortable working in a high-acuity surgical environment.
Pay: $102/hr (36-to-48-hour work week)
Schedule
- 36 or 48 hours per week offered
- Primarily weekdays
- 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and/or 11:00 AM–11:00 PM shifts
- On-call responsibilities based on unit needs
Responsibilities
- First assist during complex cardiac surgical procedures
- Perform chest exposure and closure
- Independently harvest veins for CABG procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons and the perioperative team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Scrub and circulate cardiac cases as needed
Requirements
- Active New York State RN License
- Completion of an accredited RNFA program
- Current CNOR Certification
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac RNFA experience
- Telemetry experience
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- ACLS Certification (AHA)
