Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including vacuuming, dusting, floor care, and sanitation of surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other hotel common spaces through regular janitorial tasks like sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
- Support hotel housekeeping management by restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with hotel emergency procedures.
- Use industrial cleaning equipment effectively to uphold sanitation standards across all hotel areas.
- Follow hotel safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment for guests and staff alike.
Requirements
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly by understanding SDS instructions and practicing safe chemical handling.
- Physical stamina for cleaning, vacuuming, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures to respond appropriately in urgent situations.
- Experience with industrial cleaning or hospitality management is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
