Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and observe patients’ health status, including vital signs, medication administration, and overall condition, ensuring adherence to care plans.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs, and assist with meal planning and preparation to promote healthy living.
- Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease through specialized memory care strategies and dementia care techniques.
- Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or community activities while ensuring safety during transfers and personal transportation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, incident reports, and updates in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in patient-centered communication to foster trust and understanding while respecting cultural sensitivities related to language preferences.
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or aging populations requiring geriatrics or hospice care.
- Strong background in patient observation, patient monitoring, and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Expertise in assisted living environments, nursing homes, group homes, or home health settings with familiarity in HIPAA compliance.
- Skilled in administering medications, performing first aid and CPR, taking vital signs, and utilizing patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia support techniques, memory care strategies, and managing residents’ <PERSON> (personal needs).
- Ability to perform light cleaning duties related to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for clients.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities; supporting patients through personalized caregiving approaches.
- Excellent client communication skills in both Japanese and English; compassionate listener who respects client dignity.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
