I am a very small medical clinic in North Eugene.
I am looking for a part-time Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting clinical operations.
Quest has constant issues in this town with long lines and patients cannot deal. So, I would like to get a caring and accurate phlebotomist for a few hours a week in the morning time to meet patients in the office and/or at their house to collect annul blood work and drug screens. *You must have your own car.
You will be a independent contractor, so you will manage your life vs schedule as a responsible adult, as patients will rely on you.
*The perfect candidate is a semi-retired person who wants to work some.
Responsibilities
- Keep schedule of patients needing labs
- Remind patients of fasting requirement
- Call day prior to confirm and not waste your time.
- Perform venipuncture with precision and care, following aseptic techniques.
- Collect, process, and label specimens accurately to ensure reliable laboratory testing results.
- Follow laboratory procedures and techniques diligently to uphold quality standards in specimen handling.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to support patient assessments.
- Collect payment from patient
Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience in venipuncture. Knowledge of laboratory procedures, specimen processing and aseptic techniques.
- Skilled in patient service with excellent communication skills to create a welcoming environment.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to safety standards and protocols.
- Certification or training in phlebotomy or medical assisting
