Job Description
The Parts Counterperson assists with parts requests to ensure that the correct part is obtained. The Parts Counterperson identifies the correct parts and locates them out of inventory or places orders for requested parts and assists in the Parts Department operations by maintaining and tracking the parts inventory and accessories. The Parts Counterperson works with a team and reports to the Parts Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and professional services
- Use computer systems to look up and monitor parts requests
- Recommend parts that are needed and provide time estimate for obtaining parts
- Coordinate with Service, Sales, and Body Shop to ensure parts requests are met
- Assist with coordinating delivery driver routes
- Maintain control over parts inventory to increase efficiency and eliminate delays
- Dispatch parts orders to technicians
- Process warranty returns
- Maintain proper filing system for paperwork
Qualifications and Skills
- Ford parts knowledge and experience preferred
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer and phone skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physical ability to move throughout the department, including the ability to stand, bend, stretch, lift and climb
- Ability to work Monday – Friday and a rotating Saturday schedule

Compensation: $20-$30 per hour, plus monthly incentive (depending on qualifications and experience) and full benefits package.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
