Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle various chemical agents safely for cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance tasks following all safety protocols.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, and equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across assigned areas.
- Operate custodial equipment including floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers to ensure optimal cleanliness.
- Follow established safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or chemical exposure.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting as needed to support overall building upkeep.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests or concerns from staff or visitors.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
