Position Overview
Job Title: Yoga/Meditation Instructor – Independent Contractor
Location: Various HOA communities throughout the DFW Metroplex (Dallas-Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Frisco, Allen, McKinney, and surrounding areas) - (Remote with local travel)
Job Type: Contract (Independent Contractor) / Gig / Part-time
Pay: $35 – $45 per 60-minute session (Tiered pay scale based on sessions completed)
Job Description
Nova Events is seeking passionate and reliable yoga/meditation instructors to lead Group Grounding Instruction sessions – 60-minute classes combining meditation and stretching – at HOA communities across the DFW area.
This is a flexible, independent contractor role where you set your own schedule by claiming available shifts that work for you. No minimum commitment required!
What You'll Do
~ Lead 60-minute meditation and stretching sessions at designated HOA communities
~ Create a welcoming, calming environment for residents of all experience levels
~ Arrive at least 10 minutes prior to scheduled start time
~ Conduct each session professionally, courteously, and safely
~ Submit weekly invoices for completed sessions
~ Maintain communication with the Nova Events team regarding scheduling and availability
What We're Looking For:
~ Experience teaching yoga, meditation, or wellness classes (formal certification preferred but not required – beginners with strong skills are welcome to apply!)
~ Reliable transportation to reach various HOA locations
~ Professional, punctual, and dependable
~ Strong communication skills
~ Ability to connect with diverse groups of participants
Bonus Points:
- Liability insurance already acquired. (required after hiring – can obtain after joining, with VERY affordable recommendations)
- Familiarity with DFW residential communities
- Experience working with HOAs or community associations
Pay & Benefits
- Tiered Pay Scale (per 60-minute session):
Level Sessions Completed Rate per Session (With Potential to Grow as We Grow!)
- Proprietary 1 – 5 ~ $35
- Standard 6 – 20 ~ $40
- Lead Instructor 21+ ~ $45
Pay Raise Effective Date:
Pay raise takes effect immediately after completion of each tier. For example, upon completion of the 5th session, the 6th session shall be paid at the Standard rate ($40).
Payment Timeline:
Invoices are typically approved within 3 days of submission. Payment is made within 24 hours or 7 days via digital payment (Venmo, Zelle, or Cash App).

Requirements:
~ Must have reliable transportation
~ Must have a reliable phone and internet access for scheduling and communication
~ Must be available to work weekends (primary need) and some weekdays (when they become available)
~ Liability insurance required after being hired (must obtain within a reasonable timeframe) - You may choose from our VERY affordable recommendations
~ Must be comfortable with digital invoicing and communication
~ Must be reliable & dependable
Scheduling & Availability
Sessions are scheduled through the Sling app (or an alternative scheduling platform). Available shifts are posted with:
- Date and time
- HOA property location
- Time block (e.g., 9-10am or 10-11am)
You choose which shifts to claim – no minimum required!
Primary Need: Weekend availability (2-8 sessions per month, with potential for more as we grow)
Attendance Policy (Key Points)
~ 24-hour notice required for shift cancellations
~ Same-day notice must be given no less than 2-3 hours before start time
~ Tardy notice must be given at least 20 minutes before start time (even if only 5 minutes late!)
~ No Call / No Show: More than 2 incidents may result in termination
~ Violations: 3 or more attendance violations may result in termination or temporary suspension
Pay: From $35.00 per day
