We are expanding to Riverside and are looking for compassionate and dependable caregivers to provide companionship-level care to individuals with developmental disabilities.
This is a great opportunity for students, retirees, or anyone looking for a flexible, part-time position that can fit around school, work, or other commitments. Caregivers have the ability to set their own availability and may have opportunities to take on additional clients if they are interested in more hours.
Our respite caregivers support families by providing rest and relief to parents and guardians from the daily care of their loved ones. The care provided is non-skilled, non-medical, and tailored to each individual's needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist individuals with daily routines
- Supervise and engage clients through activities such as reading, board games, puzzles, drawing, and homework support
- Encourage participation in enjoyable and stimulating activities
- Support with light tasks such as meal preparation, hygiene reminders, or mobility assistance as needed
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times
Schedule:
- Approximately 8-12 hours per week; 4 hour shifts 2-3x per week
- Sunday morning availability is required
- Additional support needed 1–2 weekdays
- Opportunities for additional hours may become available based on caregiver availability and client needs
Qualifications:
- Previous caregiving experience preferred
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred but not required
