Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a Class C position. The primary responsibilities include helping in delivering diesel fuel and propane tanks to customers, assisting with tasks in the yard, and ensuring exceptional service and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently assist in the delivery of diesel fuel and in delivering propane tanks to customers as scheduled.
- Assist with loading and unloading products, ensuring secure transport and adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform yard duties such as organizing materials, inventory management, and general upkeep.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery details.
- Follow all company policies, local regulations, and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries or concerns.
- Support additional operational tasks as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license; Class C.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past three years.
- Experience in delivery driving, transportation, or logistics preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to [specify weight, e.g., 50 lbs]) consistently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
