High School sports are paid $4,000 per season

The Head Coach is responsible for leading and developing a Christ-centered athletic program that promotes the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual growth of student-athletes. Under the direction of the Athletic Director, the coach provides instruction in sport-specific skills, strategy, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship while fostering a positive and competitive team culture.
Key responsibilities include organizing and supervising practices and competitions, maintaining compliance with CIF and school policies, ensuring athlete safety and well-being, communicating effectively with parents and the school community, and overseeing team operations, equipment, and program administration. The Head Coach also mentors assistant coaches, supports student-athlete development on and off the field, and builds positive relationships with families, officials, and community members.
The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, strong leadership and communication skills, knowledge of coaching methods and athlete development, and the ability to create an environment that is both disciplined and enjoyable. Candidates should possess previous coaching experience, a commitment to collaboration and character development, and a consistent Christian testimony aligned with Horizon Prep’s mission, Statement of Faith, and commitment to glorifying God in all things.
