Job Overview
We are looking for dependable and enthusiastic Afternoon Childcare Assistants to join our team! We currently have two afternoon positions available:
● Position 1: Monday–Friday afternoons
● Position 2: Three afternoons per week
In this role, you’ll support lead teachers and/or assistant teachers with classroom routines while helping maintain a safe, engaging, and positive environment for children.
This is a great opportunity for motivated individuals age 17 and older who enjoy working with children and want to gain hands-on experience in childcare, teamwork, and classroom management.
Responsibilities
● Assist with classroom activities and supervise playtime
● Support children during snack time, transitions, and afternoon routines
● Encourage positive behavior and social-emotional development
● Help maintain clean, organized, and safe classrooms
● Assist teachers with end-of-day classroom responsibilities
● Communicate effectively and professionally with staff and parents as needed
● Work as part of a team to ensure children are properly supervised and cared for
Qualifications
● Must be 17 years of age or older
● Experience working with children preferred
● Patient, nurturing, and positive attitude
● Strong communication and teamwork skills
● Dependable and punctual
● Enthusiastic about working with children
● Ability to follow classroom routines, policies, and teacher direction
Schedule
We are currently hiring for two afternoon schedules:
Monday–Friday PositionAfternoon hours, Monday through Friday.
3-Day PositionAfternoon hours, three days per week.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
Childcare: 1 year preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
