We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support daily manufacturing quality activities and assist with upcoming product launches. While the primary focus will be on managing and sustaining existing quality systems, approximately 20% of the role will involve coordinating APQP/PPAP requirements for a group of ~10 part numbers tied to automotive programs.
Key Responsibilities

Support day-to-day quality decision-making to ensure only conforming product is shipped.

Support material containment activities, including timely rework, shipment, or scrap disposition.

Support and facilitate 8D problem-solving for internal and external defects.

Conduct layered process audits and internal product audits.

Partner with Operations through daily floor walks to verify process adherence and product quality.

Maintain and update quality documentation, including job instructions, inspection standards, PFMEAs, and Control Plans.

Support APQP and PPAP deliverables for assigned part numbers as programs move toward SOP.

Support engineering changes and ensure quality system compliance throughout implementation.

Support process improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, defects, and customer complaints.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience

Experience in automotive manufacturing or similar regulated industry preferred.

Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and root-cause analysis tools.

Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence quality outcomes on the production floor.

Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in managing quality systems and documentation.
