American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring a PA or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Acute care setting on a 33-bed Med/Surg unit with 16 telemetry monitors
-
Patient population includes ortho (total knee and hip replacement), bariatric (gastric sleeve and gastrectomy), CHF, COPD, TIA, and cardiac cath intervention patients
-
Maintains approximately a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio

Uses MEDITECH EMR
-
Night shift schedule, 7pm-7am, 12-hour shifts

Weekends and holidays required as needed

Block scheduling available for traveling nurses

CCU staff and supervisors available each shift to assist with monitor strip readings

Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
-
BLS certification required
-
ACLS preferred but not required
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

BSN not required
-
COVID vaccine required

Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit with a diverse case mix

Scrub color is not specified and scrubs are not provided

Cancellation policy allows for 2 shifts for the duration of the contract
