Creare seeks a Fabrication Technician with strong hands-on skills in machining, welding, prototyping, assembly, and mechanical construction for engineering prototypes and test facilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Fabricate mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assemblies and components.
- Perform manual machining (mills, lathes, grinders), welding, cutting, plumbing, and mechanical assembly.
- Build fixtures, prototypes, and custom tooling.
- Assist with CAD-driven fabrication (interpret drawings, verify tolerances).
- Maintain shop equipment, tools, and fabrication spaces.
- Support engineers with prototype development and facility modifications.
- Strong demonstrated fabrication skills (machining, welding, assembly, tooling).
- Engineering Technology degree or equivalent experience with prototyping and creative problem-solving in hands-on environments.
- Ability to interpret and modify CAD models or drawings.
- Organization, communication, and safe work practices.
