JOIN OUR TEAM AS AN ENGINEER III - STORMWATER
Pasco County Public Works department is currently seeking to add an Engineer III to the team. This role involves highly complex and specialized engineering work involving drainage project management and design and regulatory permitting of drainage projects involving dry retention systems, wet detention ponds and other stormwater management facilities for County projects.
PHYSICAL SKILLS: Ability to sit, stoop, squat, walk, and stand frequently. Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written, and visual communication.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. A minimum of five (5) years' experience in the field of surface water hydrology required. Three (3) years of engineering experience as a Professional Engineer required. Experience with Water Management District and Pasco County design criteria for dry retention ponds and wet detention systems. Experience with Field investigation regarding assessment of drainage issues, flow paths and construction experience. Experience with drainage project management involving hydraulics and hydrology modeling. Hydraulics and computer modeling, drainage design and regulatory permitting involving the use of ICPR, MODRET, and PONDS preferred.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida driver's license. Must possess registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
