The Cabin Honky Tonk is looking for energetic, dependable, and outgoing Cocktail Waitresses and Servers to join our opening team.
This isn’t traditional restaurant serving. The Honky Tonk is a fast-paced nightlife environment with live entertainment, dancing, mechanical bulls, games, and high-volume bar service.
We’re looking for people who can own a section, work a crowd, move with urgency, and create an experience guests want to come back for.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide friendly, energetic, and attentive service throughout assigned areas
- Greet guests and take beverage and food orders accurately
- Enter orders promptly and correctly through the POS
- Deliver drinks and food efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Maintain awareness of guests throughout the entire experience — not just when taking an order
- Check identification and follow all alcohol-service requirements
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and practice responsible alcohol service
- Process cash and card payments accurately
- Maintain clean and organized tables and service areas
- Pre-bus and reset guest areas throughout the shift
- Communicate effectively with Bartenders, Barbacks, Support Staff, Security, Kitchen, and Management
- Notify Security or Management promptly when a guest situation requires assistance
- Complete opening, running, side-work, and closing responsibilities
- Maintain required uniform and appearance standards
- Follow all Utah alcohol laws, DABS requirements, and Cabin policies
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 21 years old
- Outgoing and comfortable approaching and engaging with guests
- Strong communication and people skills
- Able to move quickly while staying organized
- Confident working in a loud, crowded, high-energy environment
- Able to manage multiple guests and orders at once
- Reliable and able to maintain regular attendance
- Team-oriented and willing to help outside of an assigned section when needed
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Available for nights, weekends, special events, and holidays as scheduled
- Willing and able to obtain all required alcohol-service and food-handler certifications
Previous serving, cocktail, bartending, nightlife, or high-volume hospitality experience is preferred, but personality, work ethic, and ability to learn matter just as much.
THE STANDARD
At The Cabin, we’re not looking for order takers.
We want servers who notice things.
If a guest needs another drink, you shouldn’t have to be waved down. If a table needs cleared, handle it. If another server gets buried, help them. If something doesn’t feel right, communicate it.
Our Cocktail Waitresses and Servers are a huge part of the energy in the room. Be personable. Have fun with guests. Know the menu. Know the venue. And make people feel like they’re part of the night — not just sitting in it.
Great service should feel effortless to the guest, even when you’re working your ass off behind the scenes.
PAY
Starting at $3/hour + Tips
Tip participation is based on position and The Cabin’s established tip structure.
