About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join our facility operations in the Monroe area. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and ensure that our machinery and equipment operate efficiently, safely, and without unnecessary downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in plant equipment and machinery.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, lubricate moving parts, and replace worn components before they fail.
- Read Schematics: Use technical manuals and equipment schematics to understand how systems operate.
- Documentation: Log all maintenance activities and repairs accurately in work order systems.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean work area and follow all EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a mechanical technician, industrial mechanic, or automotive mechanic. (Note: Trade school graduates or military veterans with relevant technical experience are highly encouraged to apply, as are anyone with experience in roll forming machinery.)
- Basic Knowledge: Foundational skills in using hand/power tools(including multi-meters) and understanding hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and climb stairs or ladders.
Schedule
- 2:30 PM - 11 PM (2nd shift)
Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
