Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to improve patients' ability to perform daily activities. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans that address the unique goals of each patient.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to enhance their independence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for effective discharge planning and case management.
- Provide therapy in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and schools.
- Utilize knowledge of acute care and ICU experience to support patients in critical conditions.
- Engage in early intervention strategies for children with developmental delays or disabilities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and occupational health principles.
- Experience working with people with autism and other disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with geriatrics, pediatrics, speech therapy, and post-acute care practices is advantageous.
- Ability to create effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a compassionate manner.

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
