Duties
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and practicing courteous phone etiquette
- Support inventory management through stock checks and assisting with inventory counts
- Promote store promotions and loyalty programs to maximize sales opportunities
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Previous supervising experience or leadership in retail settings is a plus
- Ability to conduct product demos confidently and educate customers about features and benefits
- Bilingual skills to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills with a friendly phone etiquette approach
- Upselling techniques to increase sales while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Basic math skills for cash reconciliation and retail math calculations
- Experience in grocery store or retail sales environments preferred
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management practices
- Customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
