Job Overview
Will train either 1 person or Will train 2 People or responsible husband wife team 16 - 24 hours total these hours will be split between two people. In winter it may require more hours as needed.We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carpet Cleaner to join our dynamic environmental services team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of carpets and flooring across various commercial and residential settings. Your energetic approach will ensure spaces are refreshed, hygienic, and inviting, contributing to a healthier environment for clients and staff alike. Duties
- Operate carpet cleaning equipment, including steam cleaners, extractors, and buffing machines, to thoroughly clean carpets and floors.
- Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals safely, following all safety protocols and manufacturer instructions.
- Perform floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing to restore the shine and durability of various flooring surfaces.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as moving furniture or heavy cleaning equipment to access hard-to-reach areas.
- Use environmentally friendly cleaning practices to minimize chemical impact while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Inspect carpets and floors for stains, damage, or wear; determine appropriate cleaning methods or recommend repairs if needed.
- Maintain cleaning equipment by performing routine checks, cleaning tools after use, and reporting any malfunctions promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or floor care is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of floor scrubbing, carpet cleaning techniques, and the use of various cleaning equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle floor cleaning chemicals safely, including chemical agent handling and environmental considerations.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning results.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to chemical handling and manual work environments.
