Maiz Cafe is seeking a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Server/Cashier to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, learns quickly, works well with minimal supervision, and understands the importance of providing excellent service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Schedule Requirement
Maiz Cafe is only open from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and this position is available only during that daytime shift. Applicants must be fully available and comfortable working within these hours.
Responsibilities
- Greet every guest warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
- Accurately take customer orders in person and over the phone.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash and card transactions responsibly.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining a sense of urgency.
- Check on guests throughout their visit and respond promptly to requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining room, cashier area, and assigned workstations.
- Assist with opening, closing, restocking, and side-work responsibilities.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff, managers, and other team members.
- Resolve minor customer concerns professionally and notify management when necessary.
- Follow all restaurant policies, food-safety standards, and service procedures.
- Remain productive during slower periods without needing constant direction.
Qualifications
- Previous serving, cashier, restaurant, or customer-service experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn new systems, menu items, and procedures quickly.
- Able to work independently and manage responsibilities without constant supervision.
- Understands the importance of urgency, efficiency, accuracy, and teamwork.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and accountable.
- Maintains a professional and positive attitude during busy or stressful periods.
- Able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
