Operations Associate — Wholesale Distribution
Plano, TX | Full-time | $48,000–$55,000
Build an operation, not just a resume.
Most entry-level roles give you one narrow responsibility. This role gives you the opportunity to understand how an entire distribution business operates.
Texas Tea and Treats is an established and growing wholesale distributor serving more than 100 bubble tea shops, cafes, and dessert businesses across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. We operate our own delivery fleet, manage our own product lines, and are expanding into West Texas, Oklahoma, and beyond.
As an Operations Associate, you'll report directly to the owner and work closely with our warehouse leadership and bookkeeping partners. You'll learn the operational backbone of the business by progressively taking ownership of purchasing support, logistics coordination, customer operations, invoicing, and process improvement.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate daily operational workflows including order processing, invoicing handoffs, and delivery verification
- Own new customer onboarding from initial setup through first successful delivery
- Build and maintain the spreadsheets, order sheets, price lists, and checklists that keep our operation running accurately
- Ride along on customer visits throughout DFW for onboarding, product samples, and operational support
- Work across purchasing, customer service, warehouse operations, and logistics to keep information flowing accurately
- As you demonstrate reliability and sound judgment, take ownership of increasingly important operational workflows and become the primary coordinator for day-to-day execution
What Success Looks Like
You'll begin by learning established systems and processes. As your experience grows, you'll earn responsibility, not simply time in the role.
Your development path includes:
- Customer onboarding ownership
- Purchasing support and inventory coordination
- Process improvement initiatives
- Increasing operational leadership as the company continues to grow
Performance and compensation reviews are conducted at six months and annually thereafter.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree
- 1–2 years of professional experience or strong internship experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets, Word, email, PDFs, Google Workspace, and learning new software platforms (including Zoho)
- A dependable self-starter who keeps commitments and flags problems early
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer locations throughout DFW as needed
- Business-level Mandarin is a significant advantage; additional compensation may be available for candidates with verified professional language skills or other directly relevant qualifications
Compensation & Benefits
- $48,000–$55,000 annual base salary, depending on experience
- Daily per diem for field work
- Paid lunch
- Mileage reimbursement for approved customer visits
- Annual professional development and learning budget
- One work-from-home day per week available after successful completion of the first 90 days
- Additional benefits will be discussed during the interview process
