Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children. This role is essential in fostering the growth and development of young learners, particularly in a Montessori setting. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with children, helping them to explore their interests and develop essential skills through engaging activities.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing the Creative curriculum and educational activities.
- Support children's learning by providing individualized attention and guidance.
- Help create a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Facilitate literacy education through various engaging methods tailored to children's needs.
- Monitor and document children's progress in collaboration with the lead teacher.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources for lessons.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Work with children with disabilities, ensuring an inclusive atmosphere where all students can thrive.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to develop engaging curriculum activities that promote learning and development.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for educating young minds.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all students, including those with disabilities.
- Relevant certifications or training in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous.
