Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays to highlight featured products and promotions
- Stock shelves regularly, ensuring products are organized, labeled correctly, and replenished as needed
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
- Assist with inventory management by counting stock, recording sales data, and supporting stockroom organization
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for supporting team efforts
- Familiarity with POS systems, merchandising techniques, and grocery store operations is beneficial
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally over the phone or in person
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving
